KPIX-TV news footage from May 25 1974 with reporter Al Dale featuring scenes from a festival of American Indian culture at Pacific High School in San Leandro, with views of American Indians dancing, singing, crafting and selling art. Includes an interview with Adam Fortunate Eagle, who explains they are: "Showing the public that we are proud of our history, proud of our culture." He also goes on to talk about the government relocation of American Indians to urban centers in 1951 and the "misnomer" of the "war dance." Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
