Fauci responds to questions about: the recombinant gp160 vaccine trial; relative comparisons between developing a vaccine for AIDS and for influenza; using varying test populations to evaluate vaccines; if there will ever be an effective vaccine against AIDS; accusations that NIAID is moving too slowly to produce an AIDS vaccine and the potential efficacy of therapeutics and soluble CD4 in reducing the effects of AIDS.
