Caitlyn Jenner on the Olympics and his future (1976)

KPIX-TV news footage from August 6 1976 featuring scenes from an interview with recently retired decathlete Caitlyn Jenner (known at the time as Bruce Jenner). Jenner discusses: winning a gold medal at the Montreal Olympics; training; the "high pressure" situation she experienced when competing in Montreal and a Sports Illustrated article, which referred to the rest of her life being "a success." Jenner responds to this by saying: "The rest of my life will be a lot more interesting because of what I did in Montreal. But I don't know about a success. There's a lot of people who've talked to me about doing one thing or another but at this point I really don't know. I'm just going to sorta take it slow and easy and see what areas do open up. If I'm comfortable with that area, I'll go there. But instant success? I don't know, I'm just going to try and be myself and if everybody likes me the way I am fine.
