Color, silent 16mm film shot by Sara Ortiz and Mercedes Soberon in November 1977 featuring views of a mass rally in San Francisco, in suppport of affirmative action regarding the legal case of the University of California verses Bakke. Includes views of large crowds marching in downtown San Francisco to City Hall and around Dolores Park in the Mission District. Produced by the Mission Film Workshop, with permission kindly granted by The Ray Balberan Mission MediaArts Archive to screen on this website.
Note: this 16mm film print was re-transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in October 2021. Film shrinkage was measured in October 2021 at 0.25%.
