Loving ... the family
About This Item
A short documentary film produced by Mission MediaArts Film Workshop in 1971 and made by Charles Hanson, Gedeon Rescate and Ray Balberan. It features Latinx families mostly sat around a kitchen table in San Francisco's Mission District, talking about family history and current events in the neighborhood. During the introduction we're told: "Everything happens in the kitchen ... we should call this film 'The Kitchen'." Permission kindly granted by The Ray Balberan Mission MediaArts Archive and KQED to screen on this website.
