KPIX-TV news footage from May 16 1971 with reporter Christopher Chow featuring views of residents in Half Moon Bay taking part in the "first phase of a beautification program" by painting buildings. This is to try and take advantage of a new 9000 acre development nearby and draw in more tourists. Includes an interview with coordinator of the painting project Mrs. Aurelia Stalker and views of a rock band playing in the street on a flat bed trailer. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
Note: this 16mm film print was transferred in 4K (4096x2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in October 2021. Film shrinkage was measured in Oct. 2021 at 0.3%.
