KRON-TV news footage from March 15 1966 featuring scenes from a rally on the campus of San Francisco State College against a proposed freeway through Golden Gate Park. Includes silent views of Supervisor George Moscone addressing crowds and a speech (with sound) by State Assemblyman Willie Brown, who speaks against the freeway's construction. Ends with views of singer Malvina Reynolds singing part of her anti-freeway ballad 'Cement Octopus'. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
Note: this 16mm film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in December 2021. Film shrinkage was measured in Dec. 2021 at 0.30%.
