KPIX-TV news footage from December 25, 1971 with reporter Christopher Chow featuring scenes from Christmas Day celebrations at Glide Church in San Francisco. Includes views of Reverend Cecil Williams dancing with his congregation, unveiling a portrait of Angela Davis by John Paul Jones and leading a procession through the Tenderloin neighborhood. We also see Santa Claus boogying down on-stage and being hugged by ecstatic worshippers. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
Note: this 16mm film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in December 2021. Film shrinkage was measured in Dec. 2021 at 0.45%.
