Color, silent 16mm film shot in January 1976 featuring close up views of 'The CIA Mural' by Domingo Rivera on Garfield Park swimming pool building, located on Folsom Street in the Mission District of San Francisco. Domingo Painted other murals in the early 1970s including at the Mini Park on 24th and Bryant Streets. A self-taught artist, Domingo was of native Puerto Rican and native Taino heritage. He served as a Commissioner of the San Francisco Art Commission and was influential in establishing the Mission Community Arts Building on Mission Street. Produced by the Mission Film Workshop, with permission kindly granted by The Ray Balberan Mission MediaArts Archive to screen on this website. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

Note: this 16mm film print was re-transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in October 2021. Film shrinkage was measured in January 2022 at 0.30%.
