A KRON-TV Assignment Four special report called A Gift of Time from 1966, which narrator Jerry Jensen explains is: "A story of some men and women in the San Francisco Bay Area all past the age of 70, who continue to savor the gift of life." Includes interviews with: Larry E. Lewis; Guiseppe Silvestri; Maria Von Ridelstein (1884-1970); Professor Richard R.B. Powell; Dr. Paul Kirkpatrick (1894-1992); Dr. Jack Downing; Mrs. Maggie Benson; Dr. Francis Scott Smith and Kate Peterson Mailliard (1892-1979). This film was written and produced by Al Berglund, with camerawork by John Hines and Charles Stanyan. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
This 16mm film print was remastered in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in June 2022. Film shrinkage was measured in June 2022 at 0.10%.
