San Francisco's first fully nude act at the Roaring Twenties Club (1966)

KRON-TV news footage from 8/26/1966 with reporter Jack Bates featuring scenes from San Francisco's Hall of Justice, where performance artist Virginia Kaye and manager of the Roaring Twenties club (at 807 Montgomery Street) Bryant Cohen are interviewed, following their arrest at the club. Kaye had just finished San Francisco's first officially recognized fully nude performance act at the Roaring Twenties (on a swing), when she and Bryant were arrested by Seargeant Eugene Delcarlo and Patrolman Donald Weiss for indecent exposure. Kaye states: "I feel fine, it doesn't affect me... except, you know, I know my name's in the newspapers and it doesn't bother me." Cohn claims: "It's a beautiful show, it really and truly is... it's very tastefully done." Also includes brief views of Kaye on the swing in the club and an interview with a city official who explains: "It won't be a trend.
