KPIX-TV news footage from July 27, 1968 with reporter Ed Arnow featuring scenes of contestants in the 2nd annual Miss Afro America Beauty Pageant taking part in a fashion show in San Francisco's Union Square and posing on a bus in swim suits. Also includes an interview with the pageant's organizer, who explains this event represents: "A social and cultural contribution ... by focussing attention on the beauty, intelligence and talent of outstanding negro girls." She goes on to share this pageant will be held on Saturday 3 August at 9:00pm in the Fairmont Hotel's Terrace Room. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
