KRON-TV news footage from December 10, 1974 featuring brief scenes from an interview with footballer and actor Bubba Smith (1945-2011), who played defensive end for the Oakland Raiders in the 1973-74 season. Smith explains how: "Things have start to come around a lot more. I think the reason for that is the playing time... I think by the mere fact of them letting me play is causing me to develop a confidence and a lot of moves here and there. And that's what I want. And I know that's why the playing is so important to me these next two games, going into the playoffs." Ends with views of Smith (wearing the No. 77 jersey) executing some bruising tackles in a game.
