Auditions for a new Mitchell Brothers Erotic Film

KPIX-TV news footage from January 22 1974 with reporter Al Dale, featuring scenes from The Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell Theatre at 895 O'Farrell Street in San Francisco, where aspiring porn stars are auditioning for a new erotic film production. As Dale explains: "The Mitchell Brothers who made Behind the Green Door and The Resurrection of Eve are looking for a cast for a new erotic film and who knows, maybe another Linda Lovelace will be among the more than 50 peoeple who've been interviewed for those parts today." Includes views of a man and a woman being interviewed and having polaroids taken and an interview with one of the production staff, who responds to Dale's question: "How important is the ability to be a sexual gymnast in these movies?" by stating: "Well, I don't think it's all that important, in my opinion ... It all depends on the script but we don't have anything like that on the storyboard right now." Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
