Carousel
About This Item
KPIX-TV special program featuring a short, impressionist film which compares the rhythms of modern city commuting in US cities with the motion of an old-fashioned fairground carousel. Note this film makes use of slow motion and speeded up picture and audio effects. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
The film elements were kindly donated to us by Gary Caldwell, the son of KPIX director and producer David N. Caldwell, in May 2022.
This 16mm film print was remastered in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in November 2022.
