KPIX-TV news footage from August 4, 1970 with  reporter Mike Lee featuring scenes from the Alameda County Courthouse, where the Board of Supervisors is being asked by the Alameda Probation Department to add Synanon to a list of approved private agencies, who receive money for the custody of juvenile offenders. Includes views of the hearing, an interview with Synanon's medical director and an exchange between Supervisor Emanuel Razeto and others about fiscal accountability. This 16mm negative film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in January 2023.
