KRON-TV news footage from March 16, 1971 featuring scenes of crowds gathered outside the Marin County Civic Center in support of Angela Davis and moving around inside the building, during her trial on charges of conspiracy, kidnapping and homicide. Includes scenes of people dancing and singing and a press conference by one of her lawyers. Note that KRON's coverage at the Civic Center was split into two separate film reels, with the ID numbers KRON 2644-1 and KRON 2644-4. Footage from both these reels was combined to produce this web screener. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
This 16mm reversal film print was re-transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in March 2023.
