Larraburu Bakery hassle continues

About This Item

KPIX-TV news footage from May 31, 1976 featuring very brief scenes from possibly outside the Larraburu Bakery in San Francisco. The owners of Larraburu had to end production on the morning of May 30 due to a $2 million dollar insurance claim, from when one of their trucks injured 4-year old Terry Lee Spears on April 28 1972. Larraburu had been the world's second biggest supplier of sourdough (after San Francisco's Parisian Bakery). There was no paper work with this film reel, so we aren't sure what exactly is eing shown on-camera. But it was originally titled "Larraburu Bakery hassle continues" in the KPIX Newsfilm Shot-log. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

This 16mm reversal film print was scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in May 2023.
