Breakthrough in nurses salary dispute at Washington Hospital

KPIX-TV news footage from June 1966 with reporter Rollin Post featuring an update on nurses salary dispute negotiations, as Post states: "The first breakthrough in the salary negotiations between nurses and Bay Area Hospitals took place here at Washington Hospital in Freemont, where the hospital Board of Directors and the nurses last night reached a settlement." Includes an interview with hospital administrator Robert Taylor, who describes the salary increases. Post also explains that 91 nurses at Castro Valley's Eden Hospital are ready to walk out at 7:00am on Sunday morning and interviews Chairman of the Eden Hospital Nurses Association Wilma McCarthy, who expresses optimism over the settlement at Washington Hospital.
