Mass resignation by Bay Area nurses set for tomorrow

KPIX-TV news footage from August 2, 1966 with reporter Rollin Post featuring scenes from The French Hospital in San Francisco, where registered nurses are debating whether to submit their resignations tomorrow morning, after repeated failures with hospital management to resolve a wage dispute. Includes interviews with chief negotiator for the nurses Roy Campbell at The French Hospital and with spokesperson Anne Dixon at St. Mary's Hopital in San Francisco. Ends with Post commenting that: "Unless there is a dramatic change of sentiment, tomorrow the Bay Area will be the scene of the first mass nurse walkout in the history of the United States."
