Juan Corona found guilty on 25 counts of murder

KPIX-TV news footage from January 18, 1973 with reporters Bill Hillman, Mike Lee and Ben Williams featuring scenes from the Solano County Courthouse in Fairfield, CA where a jury has just found 38-year old labor contractor Juan Corona guilty of first-degree murder on all 25 counts charged, after a 4-month trial. Corona was accused of accused of murdering 25 migrant workers who were found in 1971, buried in peach orchards along the Feather River, in Sutter County. Includes views of: Juan Corona arriving and leaving the court, under heavy guard; of teams digging for bodies; of Corona's family arriving to support him and of Corona's 11-year old daughter Martha Corona being carried out on a stretcher into an ambulance, after fainting. There are also interviews with a juror, with a local bartender who knew Juan Corona and a press conference with defense attorney Richard Hawk, who is bitterly disappointed by this verdict.
