Anton LaVey consulted about Jayne Mansfield "Curse"
About This Item
KPIX-TV news footage from July 29, 1967 with reporter Ben Williams, featuring an interview with Victor Houston, the road manager of the late Jayne Mansfield (1933-1967). Houston wants to establish if he is part of a "curse" that was allegedly placed by occultist Anton LaVey (1930-1997) on Mansfield's lawyer Sam Brody and explains: "I wanna know how far this curse goes, as far as my life is concerned. So I made a special trip up here to see Anton, to ask him about this curse." LaVey is also interviewed and states: "I don't feel there was a curse on Miss Mansfield, as such, but there certainly was a curse on Mr Brody." LaVey ends by confirming that this curse is: "All over." Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
