KRON-TV news footage from July 7, 1968 featuring silent views of a Free Huey Rally at DeFremery Park in West Oakland, to help suppoprt Huey P Newton. Includes scenes of crowds and of speakers on a platform, including John Gerassi. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

This 16mm film reel was kindly donated to the TV Archive by David Webb Peoples in April 2023, who used to work as a film editor for KRON in the 1960s.

This 16mm negative film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in March 2024
