KRON-TV silent news footage from April 20, 1965 with reporter Ed Hart featuring scenes from Candlestick Park where the San Francisco Giants are playing the Pittsburgh Pirates. This was the opening game of the season at Candlestick Park and there are also views of Mayor John Shelley throwing the first ball to catcher Tom Haller and of Police Chief Thomas Cahill. Note that the Pirates beat the Giants 3-1. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
