KRON-TV news footage from March 3, 1968 with reporter Gordon Graham featuring scenes from the Haight Street Fair which took place between Masonic and Shrader, from 3pm-10pm. Over 5000 people were in attendance and there are views of: the Grateful Dead playing Viola Lee Blues on two flatbed trucks; of people hanging out and dancing; of large crowds gathered on the 4-blocks of Haight Street which were closed to traffic and of residents watching this city-sanctioned gathering from their apartments. This 16mm reversal print was scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in December 2024.
