Billy Kenney discharged from Mount Zion Hospital

KRON-TV news footage from July 12, 1973 featuring views of 7-year old cancer survivor Billy Kenney playing in Washington Park on Alameda and being interviewed, possibly by Valerie Coleman Morris (tbd). He was discharged from Mount Zion hospital in San Francisco on July 11, after undergoing almost 2 years of cancer treatment. There are also scenes from an interview with his mother Juanita Kenney, who states: "I'm just very proud of my son. He's had a very hard two years and so have we. But if it wasn't for him, you know, I guess it been a lot harder. And he's been, taken everything so well. He's very, he's been very grown up about everything."
