KTVU news footage from February 5, 1969, featuring scenes from a press conference with John Madden at Oakland's Edgewater Inn. Madden has just been announced as the new head coach for the Oakland Raiders, and while he refers to coaching as a collaborative process by the "entire staff", he also points out that: "I feel that on the field of play, of course, I'm the general." Madden goes on to identify Al Davis as another valuable resource, crediting him as being: "Probably one of the finest minds in all football." This 16mm color reversal film print was scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in July 2025.
