KRON-TV news footage from June 28, 1971, featuring scenes from the Oakland Coliseum, where the Oakland A's are playing the Kansas City Royals and any woman wearing hot pants is given free entry. Includes many views of women and young ladies wearing a variety of hot pants. This was the Oakland A's first ever Hot Pants Day and the San Francisco Chronicle estimated that between 9000-12,000 women took part. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks. This 16mm color reversal film print was scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in June 2026.
