Court Martial Of Ronald Lockman

KTVU news footage from November 13, 1967, with reporter Carlton Cordell, featuring scenes at the Presidio in San Francisco, where Private Ronald Lockman has just been sentenced by a 6-officer general court martial to 2.5 years of hard labor in military prison, for refusing to fight in the Vietnam War. Includes interviews with Lockman and his attorneys Stanley Faulkner and Terence Hallinan, who feel this sentence was relatively lenient and views of Lockman's mother Vivian Williams and fiancee Lynette Polk hugging Lockman in the background. Note that Lockman's sentence was reduced by 6 months in July 1968, by a military board of review in Washington D.C. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
