With the new Roberts Stadium completed and two coaches Dan Farmer and Hal Harden, the 1937 football team was optimistic. Dean of Men Dave Cox pushed for the construction of bleachers to seat the regular attendance of 4,000 supporters for games. "Red" Thomson (captain-elect), Charlie Iago (halfback), Mason, and Bill Harkness (fullback) returned joined by lineman Hall Baseman, defensive fullback Lloyd Morris, Gomez, Jackson, Glavich, Hodgins.
