Photograph of the "Vigilante" staff at San Francisco State Teachers College in spring 1926. The Vigilante, the first student newspaper began in November 1922 with the Good English Club. Members of the Journalistic section of the club were responsible for producing the newspaper that was printed in mimeograph form until a Journalism Club was established. In spring, 1926, the club was disbanded and a journalism course was established with the following officers: Vida Setencich (editor), Janet Weeks (associate editor), Elsie Thompson and Verna Thomsen (assistant editors), Agnes Boyle (business editor) and Ruth Michelson (assistant business editor).
