"Ecumencial Council buys a Home" from the "1964 Franciscan" yearbook (page 156)

Photograph of San Francisco State College's Ecumenical House, established off-campus at 190 Denslowe Drive, San Francisco, during the fall semester in 1963. Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal, and the United Church of Christ made Ecumenical House a "unique venture." The facility housed offices, a library, a chapel, counseling rooms and study spaces – it was established by United Ministries for Higher Education of Northern California and Nevada, and was staffed by Reverend John Jones, Reverend Dr. Jerry Pedersen, Mr. Hannibal Williams, and Mrs. Sarah Wylie. Ecumenical House, a church-based community venture, tried to serve this commuter campus with a "united Christian approach."
