Michelangelo Merisi da CARAVAGGIO (1573 - 1610): This version post dates another depiction of The Fortune Teller (now in the Pinacoteca Capitolina in Rome). It was done while Caravaggio lived with Cardinal Del Monte & deals with a moral theme & the disillusionment & deception of youth.
