Ivan BEZMIN (act. c. 1680-1689): Nikon was Patriarch of Moscow 1652-1658. The work was painted by Bezmin and his followers at the Moscow Armory. Nikon led a movement of reform of the litergy which was intensely fought by traditionalists.
