Matvey KAZAKOV (1738-1812): Left: The Senate by Kazakov and built 1776-1788. Triangular-shaped building. Since 1918 has held the offices of the head of state of Russia. Right: Building 14 (The Presidium) built after a design by Rerberg in 1932-1934. Housed the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR until 1991. Since then has been used for presidential offices.
