Bartolomeo Francesco RASTRELLI (1700-1771): The walls and ceiling of the Hall are covered with paintings arranged by Rastrelli by size and color. Most of the paintings, by western European artists from the 17th and 18th centuries, were collected by Elizabeth I especially for the Catherine Palace. A German ceramic tile stove stands in the middle of one wall.
