SPANISH Anonymous: The lions were modelled Guiliano Finelli and cost by Matteo Bonaretti in 1651. Valesquez is said to have sent them from Rome in 1651. The twin thrones were added in 1977 for King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia based on the original ones created for Carlos III.
