ROMAN LATE ANTIQUE Anonymous (284 - c. 500): Part of a hoard of 15 pieces of gold jewelry that had been buried in the eastern Roman Empire. The links of the belt contain gold coins issued by several emperors in the late 4th century. The coins come from various mints in the eastern portion of the Roman Empire indicating a probable eastern origin for the belt.
