ETRUSCAN Anonymous: This arch provided a gateway leading to the city of Perugia. The city was enclosed by a 3 km. wall- a testament to the city's wealth and power during the Hellenistic period. The arch is set between two projecting towers. A Renaissance loggia was later built on top of th wall.
