Red-figure krater. Odysseus & the Sirens.
About This Item
PYTHON: The small ship has two oars plus a steering oar in the rear. Odysseus had his crew stuff rags in their ears so they would not hear the seductive songs of the sirens while he had himself tied to the mast. The ship had a swan as a figurehead and eyes on the two side of the prow.
