ETRUSCAN Anonymous: This sarcophagus features the image of Ramtha Visnai and Arnth Tetnies embracing as husband and wife. The inscription on the sacrophagus specifies that only the remains of the wife Ramtha Visnai occupy the container. The jewelry adorned by Ramtha Visnai signifies that she was a woman of powerful position- probably a priestess. This demonstrates the high social stature that could be acheived by women in Etruria. The side of the sarcophagus shows the Battle of the Greeks and the Amazons.
