BYZANTINE/NORMAN Anonymous (active 12th c - ): Founded by William II the Norman King of Sicily (1166-1189). Most of the columns are granite. The capitals are not uniform. In addition to their Corinthian-style leaves some have portrait medallions and some have decoration derived from classical motifs.
