MEDIEVAL Anonymous (400-1500): The cover for the sacramentary (12th c.) was made in Belgium of gilt silver; brass; and niello over oak boards covered with red silk. The prayer book (c. 1470-1480) is from Prague. The Bible (c. 1450) is from Cologne and is made from stamped leather over oak boards and is about 15 in. by 11 in.
