BYZANTINE PROVINCIAL Anonymous (c. 330-1453): The central panel shows, on the left, a crocodile biting a cow while a man holds the cow's tail, and on the right, a man spearing a fish and another reaching for a duck. The inscription includes an incomplete quotation from Psalm 92, verse 5. There is also a reference to a martyrion, which may indicate the original use of the room.
