Postnik YAKOVLEV (act. c. 1550-1562): St. Basil's (right): central church built under Ivan IV (r 1533-84) in 1553-4; in 1555-61 Postnik and Barma built 8 churches around this church. In 1588 a 10th church was added over the grave of Basil the Blessed. Ornamental domes added over the chapels in 1593. Beklemishevskaya Tower: part of Kremlin wall; built by Ruffo in 1487; 17th-century top.
