Antonio GILARDI (act. 1488): The Vodovzvodnaya (Water) Tower was named for the water elevating machine and pressurized pipe system which brought water from the Moscow River to the Kremlin. The top was added 1672-1686. The star was added in 1937 making the height 61.25 meters.
