OLD BABYLONIAN Anonymous (1900 BCE - 1600 BCE): The mold on the right was used for casting figures of a bearded god wearing a high hat and a goddess with an elaborate necklace. It was found in Nineveh (northern Iraq) and dates to the Old Babylonian Period (c. 18th century BCE). The mold on the left was also found in Iraq but is older (end of the Early Bronze Age c. 2250-1900 BCE).
