CENTRAL EUROPEAN CELTIC Anonymous: During the 3rd c BCE the Celtic people of continental Europe began to manufacture copies of Greek coins; the first type of coins ever made in northern Europe. Pictured are Celtic copies of coins of Phillip II of Macedon (reigned 359-336 BCE).
