About This Item

SUMERIAN URUK (PROTOLITERATE) Anonymous (4000 BCE-2900 BCE): Shows a procession of sheep approaching a reed hut and two lambs emerging. It may have been a cult object in the Temple of Inana (Ishtar) since her symbol - a bundle of reeds - is shown on the hut and at the edges of the scene.
