EARLY BYZANTINE Anonymous (c. 400 - 726): From the oratory of Pope John VII (705-707) in St. Peter's at the Vatican. The oratory was a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary and was dismantled in 1609 when St. Peter's was expanded.
